As the temperature drops and snowflakes start to dance in the air, it’s time to refresh your winter wardrobe with the latest winter trends for 2023. This season brings a perfect blend of cozy and chic, allowing you to stay warm while making a style statement. From luxurious textures to bold colors, here are six winter trends to keep you fashion-forward and snug this season.

Winter fashion seems to be skipped over by the early hype of Fall and the jump in holiday party outfits. Winter clothing is my personal favorite as it gives you the chance to play into layers and more conservative outfits. With the right knowledge on what works for your own style, winter doesn’t have to be a cold mess but it can be the chance to stay cozy with fun pieces and accessories.

Here are the trends that I will be personally jumping into this winter and I hope you will to!

Dark Denim:

Jeans are always a staple in anyone’s closet and comfort and warmth is sliding its way back into the scene. To follow suit for winter trends bring out your favorite worn-in dark wash pair or opting for a full Canadian suit like this one, it is sure to please. When it comes to a casual piece of clothing like jeans make sure to play with textures and complementing colors to really bring out the tone of the jeans! In the picture below the brown and color complement the wash!

Chunky Knits and Office Fits:

Winter 2023 is synonymous with cozy knits, and this year, chunky sweaters are taking center stage. Whether it’s a cable-knit pullover or an oversized sweater, the key is to go big and bold. Pair your chunky knits with a comfy sophisticated trouser or a midi skirt for a balanced look. Earthy tones, such as forest green and rust, are particularly popular this season, bringing a touch of nature-inspired warmth to your winter wardrobe.

Elevated Loungewear:

With the rise of remote work and flexible lifestyles, elevated loungewear continues to be a winter staple. Think chic matching sets that accentuate your body. Monochromatic looks are particularly on-trend, offering a polished and put-together appearance. Add a pair of stylish winter clogs, sneakers, or Uggs to elevate your loungewear from comfy to effortlessly chic.

Grays Allure:

Gray has had a chokehold in winter trends the last few years and it continues. With the uprise in office wear it’s not surprising that gray still dominates. This winter spruce up your gray pieces with a monochromatic look to make it pop. From rust red to navy blue, incorporating these sumptuous colors into your wardrobe adds a touch of elegance. Perfect for winter errands, exuding sophistication and warmth.

Statement Outerwear:

Make your outerwear the star of your winter ensemble with bold and statement-making coats. Whether it’s a vibrant color, unique texture, or unconventional silhouette, let your coat do the talking. This season, trench coats with a twist, capes, and longline coats in unexpected colors are stealing the spotlight. Fur is my current favorite winter favorite. I would love to add fur to my collection but like your favorite lip gloss it takes time to find the right one. Looking at vintage options for outerwear is a great option as it will most likely be better quality, more unique, and affordable. Use your outerwear as a canvas for self-expression and turn heads wherever you go.

Seeing Red:

Lastly, get ready to indulge in the ultimate winter trend for 2023 with red! We have been seeing this color since the end of summer and it is extending its feature into the colder months. Lip, shoes, nails, and accessories in the strong color is sure to be seen by your favorite fashionistas. Not only do it add a touch of class to your ensemble, but it also provides much-needed warmth during the chilly months. Opt for all tones of red tones like wine red or scarlet, or maroon to fully embrace the plush perfection trend.
